Regional Learning & Development Manager, Queensland

About the role

The Star Brisbane and The Star Gold Coast are seeking a Regional Learning & Development Manager to lead capability development across their Queensland properties. This senior position designs, implements and delivers learning initiatives that strengthen leadership, onboarding and service culture.

Key responsibilities

• Drive uplift of customer service and guest experience capability across both Queensland properties.
• Review, enhance and design learning frameworks, leadership development programmes, onboarding experiences, workshops and compliance‑based learning.
• Partner with General Managers, senior leaders and People & Culture teams to identify capability gaps and develop practical solutions.
• Conduct training needs assessments, monitor effectiveness of initiatives and ensure programs meet regulatory and industry requirements.
• Manage external stakeholders and embed continuous improvement across all L&D programmes.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing, delivering and implementing organisational learning strategies in a large, customer‑focused organisation.
• Strong track record of improving service capability and customer experience.
• Excellent facilitation, communication and stakeholder‑influence skills.
• Experience managing complex learning projects across multiple locations.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in organisational development, psychology, change management, HR or related field.

• Knowledge of organisational development principles and contemporary learning practices.
• Ability to translate business priorities into practical learning programmes.
