Recruitment Consultant – Mining Support Services

About the role

UON, an integrated energy company in Western Australia, is looking for a seasoned Recruitment Consultant to join its Support Services team in Malaga, Perth. This is initially a casual position for a major new project recruitment campaign, in a fast-paced role that requires strong communication skills and the ability to juggle multiple roles and competing priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Establish recruiting requirements aligned with manager needs
• Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications
• Write and post job advertisements
• Run the full recruitment cycle: understand job scope, post ads, shortlist, screen, set up interviews, progress candidates and update systems
• Liaise with hiring managers and external recruiters
• Screen resumes and applications, evaluate applicants against consistent qualification criteria and arrange management interviews by coordinating schedules
• Conduct interviews using reliable selection methods and filter candidates within schedule
• Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices, and provide analytical, well-documented recruiting reports
• Build influential candidate relationships and act as a point of contact during selection

Required profile

• Previous mining recruitment experience in both blue- and white-collar roles, with understanding of the full recruitment life cycle
• 3-5 years of recruiting experience in a full life-cycle environment, managing multiple high-volume roles; minimum 2 years in a relevant industry
• Demonstrable experience screening technical, blue- and white-collar roles
• Unrestricted right to work in Australia
