Job description

About the role

The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is seeking a Director Workforce Services to join its People, Capability and Culture team. The role provides strategic and operational leadership across human resources, industrial relations and talent acquisition in a complex, multi-site organisation that delivers care to children, young people and their families. • Strengthen workforce governance, compliance, assurance and risk management, using workforce data and insights to inform decisions and improve service delivery.
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams across HR, industrial relations and talent acquisition, building capability and a collaborative, values-driven culture.
  • Build partnerships across CAHS and the wider WA Health system, represent the service in workforce and industrial relations forums and contribute to sector-wide policy and strategy.
  • Oversee service delivery arrangements with key providers such as Health Support Services, covering recruitment, pre-employment screening, payroll and related support.

  • Valid Australian work rights; sponsorship is not available.
  • Applicants must undergo criminal records screening and integrity checking, and possibly a working with children check and pre-employment health assessment.

To apply, candidates submit a statement addressing selection criteria 1, 2 and 5 (two pages maximum), a current CV, and the contact details of two referees. They also answer a question about a strategic or complex people change initiative they have led, with a 500-word limit.
