Radiation Oncology Principal House Officer

About the role

The position is a full‑time, 12‑month fixed‑term role for a Principal House Officer with a focus on Radiation Oncology at the Icon Cancer Centre in Greenslopes, Brisbane. You will work within a multidisciplinary team delivering cancer care to the local community.

Key responsibilities

• Participate with consultants and the treatment team to deliver optimal patient care, including simulation, treatment planning, and side‑effect management.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation, manage in‑patients in consultation with supervisors, and communicate effectively with relatives, nursing, allied health and radiation therapy staff.

Required profile

• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Ability to document patient examination history accurately.
• Experience or interest in evaluating radiation treatment plans and managing side effects.
