Quarry Manager – Moama Sand

About the role

We are seeking an experienced leader to manage our Moama Sand quarry operation, ensuring safety, efficiency, and profitability while actively participating in daily plant activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small, high‑performing team, fostering a safety‑focused culture.
• Operate mobile plant and processing equipment as needed.
• Manage production, processing, maintenance, and logistics.
• Deliver operational targets through planning, resource management, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee financial performance, budgets, cost control, and profit‑and‑loss accountability.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and legislative requirements.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, regulators, and the local community.
• Identify sales opportunities and provide leads to the Territory Sales Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a quarry or similar heavy‑industrial operation.
• Hands‑on leadership style with willingness to work alongside the team.
• Experience managing operational budgets, KPIs, and financial performance.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant qualifications in Quarry Management, Mining Engineering or related field (desirable).
• Current driver’s licence.
