QA Technician

About the role

Alcon is seeking a QA Technician to support its manufacturing operations in Mulgrave. You will ensure that production processes meet GxP standards and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast‑paced, safety‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review manufacturing documentation to ensure GxP compliance with internal and external regulations.
• Communicate quality requirements to Production and Production Engineering teams.
• Support quality processes such as Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and problem‑solving activities.
• Collaborate across functions for seamless operational execution.
• Train colleagues on Good Documentation Practices and other quality principles.
• Maintain 5S standards in the work area and drive continuous process improvement.
• Adhere to Work Health & Safety legislation, policies, and risk‑management procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Engineering, Science, Physics or equivalent experience.
• 1‑3 years experience as a production technician, Quality Auditor or Quality Engineer in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience working in a GxP environment and within multicultural teams.
• Proven ability to audit and review manufacturing records.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with technicians, engineers and other technical staff.
• Understanding of 5S manufacturing principles and a safety‑focused mindset.
• Ability to adapt to a constantly changing, fast‑paced work environment.
