Publicity & Communications Coordinator

About the role

The Publicity & Communications Coordinator will partner closely with the Head of PR & Communications and external PR consultants to design and execute publicity campaigns that support the company’s sales goals and raise the profile of its artistic and community initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head of PR & Communications in planning, coordinating and delivering publicity strategies.
• Collaborate with external PR agencies to secure media coverage for productions, community programs, artist development and major projects.
• Monitor and report on media and digital trends in Australia to inform campaign tactics.
• Contribute to achieving ticket‑sales targets through effective communication of the company’s offerings.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while responding to emerging opportunities.

Required profile

• Exceptional writing and proofreading abilities.
• Strong knowledge of the Australian media and digital landscape.
• Experience delivering publicity campaigns, preferably within the performing‑arts sector.
• Demonstrated interest in theatre and the broader arts community.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
