Project Planner

About the role

The Project Planner will support the Project Manager and Project Controls Lead in developing, maintaining and reporting the Bluesky Project schedule. This experienced contributor ensures schedule quality, milestone tracking and timely progress updates.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and control integrated, resource‑loaded schedules in Primavera P6 covering engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start‑up.
• Produce schedule basis documentation, procedures and practices aligned with bp standards and industry norms.
• Maintain schedule integrity – activity coding, calendars, logic links, constraints, milestones and critical path.
• Perform schedule analysis, critical‑path management and support risk assessments.
• Coordinate progress updates with stakeholders and incorporate them accurately.
• Analyse schedule variances, impacts and supervise performance against baselines.
• Generate schedule reports, milestone dashboards and performance metrics.
• Develop and maintain Earned Value Management metrics, S‑curves and spend profiles.
• Verify contractor progress claims through site verification.

Required profile

• Significant experience creating and managing Primavera P6 schedules in oil & gas, refining or heavy‑industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of schedule performance analysis, earned‑value and forecasting.
• Understanding of project delivery, schedule assurance and contractor integration across the project lifecycle.
