Project Management Consultant – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

Aurecon is seeking an early‑career Project Management Consultant to join its Program Performance team in Adelaide. You will work on client‑side projects across a broad portfolio of infrastructure, defence, energy and social sectors, helping to deliver complex capital works from planning through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of infrastructure and capital works projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
• Assist with project governance, reporting, scheduling, risk management and stakeholder coordination.
• Prepare high‑quality client deliverables such as reports, presentations, meeting minutes and project documentation.
• Analyse data and solve problems to inform project outcomes and client decisions.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Participate in workshops, meetings and project communications.
• Manage assigned tasks and workstreams to meet time, cost and quality requirements.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in Project Administration, Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager roles.
• Experience in engineering, construction, consulting, defence or government environments is highly regarded.
• Proven ability to work across complex stakeholder environments and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with a willingness to seek feedback and develop capabilities.
