About the role

Thiess is hiring Production Mining Operators – Haul Truck, Multi‑Skilled and Excavator – for a permanent full‑time position on the Caval Ridge Project in Moranbah, Queensland. The role operates on a 7/7 rotating roster (days or nights) with 12.5‑hour shifts and is a DIDO/BIBO arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Operate heavy mining equipment safely and efficiently to maximise production.
• Apply Thiess safety standards and operating procedures every day.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience operating haul trucks (mechanical), dozers, graders or excavators in a coal‑mining environment.
• SSE‑signed, verified skills list and LMS documentation.
• Standard 11 – Statement of Attainment.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork; previous dispatch experience is highly regarded.
