Coal Preparation & Port Sampler (Entry Level)

About the role

The Coal Preparation & Port Sampler position is an entry‑level role based at our Mackay branch. You will be trained to provide sampling and testing services for coal mining clients, supporting coal production, shipping and exploration activities, and servicing local coal export ports.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and prepare coal samples for laboratory analysis to assess quantity and quality.
• Support sampling operations at coal production sites and export ports, ensuring compliance with client and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Valid Queensland C‑class manual driver’s licence and reliable transport.
• Basic maths and computer skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to work day and afternoon shifts, with overtime on weekends as needed.
• Physically fit for manual handling tasks and able to meet site inductions and ongoing drug & alcohol testing.
• Residency in the Mackay region (no FIFO required).
