Production Chef / CDP / Sous Chef – Brisbane

About the role

An established and growing food manufacturing business in southern Brisbane is looking for an experienced Production Chef / Chef de Partie to join its production team. The business makes ready meals, foodservice products and retail food lines for national customers, so this is a chance to work in a high-volume, fast-paced production kitchen rather than a traditional restaurant. The position is permanent, with a salary of $80,000-$85,000 plus super, and flexible roster options.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook products to consistent specifications, working with an experienced production and culinary team
• Follow recipes and production specifications accurately, maintaining consistency, quality and portion control
• Work efficiently to daily production schedules using equipment such as Bratt pans, combi ovens and kettles
• Maintain HACCP, hygiene and food safety standards, and monitor ingredient quality while minimising waste
• Collaborate with the wider production team and take initiative within established processes

Required profile

• Qualified chef at Chef de Partie level or above, comfortable in a structured, high-volume environment
• Ideally strong experience in high-volume commercial kitchens, and food manufacturing or production kitchen experience highly regarded
• Experience with large-scale commercial cooking equipment
• Good understanding of HACCP and food safety
• Strong organisation and time management, quick but quality-conscious, team-focused and able to follow direction while showing initiative
• Flexibility across morning, afternoon, evening and weekend shifts; experienced Sous Chefs are also encouraged to apply
