Product Manager - Coronary Products

About the role

Abbott Vascular, part of Abbott, is recruiting a Product Manager in Macquarie Park, Australia. The role manages a portfolio of established coronary products and partners with the sales team to implement short- and long-term strategic marketing plans and to drive customer training and education programs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and adapt marketing strategies and programmes for the Coronary business unit to meet sales, margin and market share targets within budget.
• Take part in developing the annual sales volume and market share forecast.
• Forecast product requirements, identify potential supply issues and prepare contingency plans.
• Prepare and manage the marketing expenditure budget, report on major variances and liaise with other departments so strategies are delivered.
• Maintain strong communication with Abbott Vascular locally and internationally, and identify market trends and run market development initiatives to enable access to coronary products.
• Take part in product training for sales and operations teams, and keep up to date on market, competitor, HCP and consumer behaviour, including managing salesforce.com.
• Review complaints and suggestions relating to assigned products.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Marketing or a related field.
• Desirable: minimum 3 years in a marketing role, with at least 1-2 years in product management.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, and willingness to take on challenging assignments in a changing environment.
