Process Operator

About the role

The Process Operator will safely and efficiently run plant operations as part of Huntsman's Operational Team in Deer Park, Australia. The role supports both plant and warehousing activities on an 8‑hour shift pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control plant processes to meet quality and productivity targets.
• Assist with routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Drive process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety and environmental performance.

Required profile

• Commitment to safety and a current High Risk Work Licence for forklift operation.
• Systematic work patterns, mechanical aptitude, and advanced problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Intermediate computer skills and data‑entry capability.

Required skills

• Experience in petrochemicals and batch plant operation.
• Proficiency with DCS (Distributed Control System) and SAP systems.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Supervisory experience and a forklift licence are highly regarded.
