Principal Investigator – Early Phase Clinical Trials

About the role
Join Nucleus Network as a Principal Investigator to lead early‑phase clinical trials, including first‑in‑human studies, at our Brisbane unit. You will work within a multidisciplinary team delivering safe, high‑quality Phase 1 data.
Key responsibilities
- Review clinical trial protocols and investigator brochures in depth.
- Ensure safe and effective implementation of early‑phase trials, monitoring safety and managing adverse events.
- Provide medical services to trial participants and support biotech/pharma partners on protocol design.
- Attend Safety Monitoring Committee meetings and contribute to dose‑escalation decisions.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical officers and offer medical advice across the organisation.
Required profile
- Full Australian work rights and AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner.
- FRACP or fellowship of a relevant specialist college.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Interest in new drug development; PhD or higher research degree is advantageous but not essential.

- Application of ICH Good Clinical Practice and relevant regulatory guidance.
