Principal Engineer - Civil

About the role

ADG is seeking a Principal Engineer - Civil to join its Brisbane office. You will lead the delivery of complex, high‑risk civil projects, providing technical expertise and mentoring both local and national teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support successful delivery of large‑scale civil infrastructure projects from early planning through to completion.
• Provide technical leadership, develop design solutions and mentor junior engineers.
• Influence project outcomes and ensure high‑quality engineering standards across the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered member (CPEng) of Engineers Australia.
• 15+ years of demonstrated civil engineering experience.
• Senior‑level negotiation and leadership abilities.
• Strong understanding of the civil construction industry.
• Innovative, out‑of‑the‑box approach to solutions and designs.
• Ability to critically assess, interpret and communicate complex information.
• Proven capability to develop and mentor staff.
