Principal Architect – OpenShift AI & Virtualization

About the role

The Red Hat Consulting team seeks a Principal Architect to lead the design and implementation of OpenShift AI and OpenShift Virtualization solutions. You will work closely with customer architecture, development, and operations teams to modernize IT environments and migrate workloads from legacy virtualization platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and design of production‑grade solutions based on Red Hat OpenStack Platform and OpenShift Virtualization.
• Conduct Virtualization Migration Assessments, technical discovery sessions, and workshops to demonstrate Red Hat’s portfolio value.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and subject‑matter expert, guiding customers through design, pilot, and production deployments.
• Collaborate with Red Hat product, engineering, professional services, and sales teams to ensure a world‑class customer experience.
• Develop best‑practice assets, architectural patterns, whitepapers, and present at industry conferences.

Required profile

• 10+ years in senior technology roles such as enterprise architecture, consulting, or sales engineering.
• Deep expertise in virtualization technologies (KVM, VMware vSphere, libvirt) and large‑scale infrastructure solutions.
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, and OpenShift Virtualization migrations.
• Strong knowledge of Red Hat OpenStack Platform, datacenter compute, storage, and networking integration.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills with a consultative approach.
