Principal Adviser Project Delivery - UAT Lead, SAP S/4HANA

About the role

Rio Tinto is looking for an experienced project management professional to lead the end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT) lifecycle for a large-scale global SAP S/4HANA transformation. The role sits within the Modern ERP Program in the Group Finance function, reporting to the Senior Manager Project Delivery. It is a 12-month engagement leading a critical Modern ERP delivery stream.

Key responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end delivery of UAT planning, preparation, execution and close-out aligned to business and program priorities.
• Lead SAP S/4HANA projects, ensuring scope, schedule, budget and quality objectives are met.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams, providing leadership, coaching and performance support.
• Partner with business stakeholders, vendors and technical teams to deliver results.
• Oversee UAT governance, reporting, risk management and issue resolution.
• Coordinate UAT readiness across workstreams and ensure effective change management, communications and adoption.
• Monitor performance and proactively identify ways to improve UAT delivery outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementation or transformation projects.
• Strong project delivery experience in ERP, enterprise technology or digital transformation programs.
• Demonstrated leadership of project teams in complex, fast-paced environments.
• Experience delivering technology projects, process improvements and software deployments with end-to-end UAT leadership.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, able to influence at all levels.
