Practice Manager – Veterinary Clinic

About the role

Greencross Vets Chatswood is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead a high‑performing veterinary team, ensure exceptional patient care, and drive operational excellence in a busy, well‑established clinic.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and support veterinary nurses, receptionists and support staff.
• Manage rostering, workforce planning and team development.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding and performance management.
• Monitor clinic performance, identify growth opportunities and support workflow efficiency.
• Handle stock control, supplier relationships and general clinic administration.
• Maintain exceptional client service standards and resolve client feedback professionally.
• Support compliance, workplace health and safety and operational processes.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Practice Manager, Head Veterinary Nurse or veterinary leader.
• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification (highly regarded).
• Strong leadership, coaching and people‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Commercially minded with understanding of clinic performance drivers.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and lead with positivity and professionalism.
