Practice Manager - MyVet Byron Bay

About the role

VetPartners is recruiting a new Practice Manager for its MyVet Byron Bay vet clinic in New South Wales. This is a hands-on leadership position where you plan and coordinate the day-to-day operations, people and services of the clinic, working closely with the lead veterinarian and the nursing and client care team. The clinic offers routine GP services, urgent care and advanced surgery.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all business operations and veterinary services
• Provide exceptional front-of-house client services
• Lead on employee matters, including recruitment, workforce planning, wellbeing, performance and development
• Support client experience, loyalty initiatives and service growth
• Contribute to marketing, digital services and social media presence
• Manage budgets, stock control, procurement and accounts
• Ensure WHS compliance, facilities, equipment and presentation standards
• Support strategic direction, continuous improvement and new initiatives, projects and technology

Required profile

• Previous management experience desirable; training and support provided
• Minimum 5 years of veterinary experience preferred but not essential
• Passion for high standards of animal care and client services
• Warm, genuine leadership style and enjoyment of supporting people who care for animals

Required skills

• Confident with practice management systems (EzyVet)
• Strong organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety and employee obligations
