Portfolio Manager - Retail Property

About the role

A well-capitalised private property group with a growing portfolio of retail assets across Queensland is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager through its recruiter, Iconic Recruit. Reporting to senior leadership, you will take ownership of a retail portfolio, lead teams, manage key stakeholder relationships and deliver strategic asset plans that maximise value and long-term performance. The role covers asset strategy, financial performance, capital works, stakeholder engagement and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Drive asset income growth and overall portfolio performance
• Prepare and deliver budgets, forecasts and capital expenditure programs
• Lead centre operations, facilities, compliance and risk management
• Develop and implement strategic asset plans
• Manage retailer, contractor and stakeholder relationships
• Support leasing outcomes and portfolio occupancy initiatives
• Deliver customer-focused operational improvements
• Mentor and develop high-performing centre teams

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience managing retail property assets, preferably within shopping centres
• Proven leadership capability and experience managing multi-disciplinary teams
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
• Commercially minded, proactive and solutions-focused approach
• Correct working licence/visa to apply for the position

Required skills

• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting and performance reporting
• Sound understanding of facilities management, compliance and operational risk
