Plant Operator Yard Person – Oil & Water Processing

About the role

Veolia is seeking a Plant Operator Yard Person to join its Townsville site. You will be responsible for safely loading and unloading liquid waste, operating fixed‑plant machinery to treat wastewater, and segregating hazardous wastes.

Key responsibilities

• Safe loading and unloading of liquid waste on‑site.
• Operate and monitor fixed plant equipment for water and waste processing.
• Segregate and separate hazardous waste streams.
• Follow Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies and site SOPs.

Required profile

• Trade qualification with a strong work ethic.
• Commitment to safety and ability to work as part of a team.
• Valid B Class driver’s licence (desirable).
• Willingness to undergo pre‑employment medical, drug/alcohol screening and national police clearance.

Required skills

• Experience operating plant or water‑treatment machinery (highly regarded).
• Forklift licence (desirable).
• Working From Heights ticket (desirable).
• Confined Space ticket (desirable).
