Plant Accountant

About the role

Join Visy's Beverage Can manufacturing team in Yatala as a Plant Accountant, acting as a trusted finance partner to site leadership. You will provide financial insight, analysis and commercial support to drive plant performance, profitability and continuous improvement in a fast‑paced FMCG environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting, translating data into actionable business insights.
• Own month‑end accounting activities, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial information.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and performance management processes across the business.
• Analyse financial and operational performance, providing insights on key drivers, risks and opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with operational stakeholders to drive productivity, cost optimisation and financial outcomes.
• Ensure robust financial controls, governance and compliance across all areas of responsibility.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities that enhance efficiency and support business growth.

Required profile

• CA/CPA qualified with a degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• Experience in a plant, management or commercial accounting role within manufacturing, FMCG or a complex operational environment.
• Commercially minded with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders.
• Proactive, organised and resilient with a continuous improvement mindset.

Required skills

• Strong SAP skills.
• Experience with Hyperion and Essbase (advantageous).
