Planning & Stock Control Coordinator (Petfood) – 12-Month Contract

About the role

The Planning & Stock Control Coordinator will develop weekly and monthly supply plans that align production capacity with customer demand for pet‑food products. The role covers raw‑material procurement, inventory and safety‑stock management, finished‑goods logistics and ERP administration, working closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate stock availability and on‑time order fulfilment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop realistic weekly and monthly supply plans, considering production capacity, capability and current inventory levels.
• Continuously review and adjust plans in response to conflicts, supply disruptions, logistics constraints and changing customer requirements.
• Confirm stock availability and committed dispatch dates for domestic and export orders.
• Maintain safety stock at minimum target levels to cover up to two weeks of production interruptions.
• Coordinate finished‑goods logistics in line with the production plan and available stock.
• Raise and manage purchase orders accurately within the ERP system.
• Place weekly procurement orders for poultry raw materials and oversee receipt, verification and invoice approval.
• Create and manage production work orders, assigning batch numbers and communicating schedules to operators.
• Oversee transfer work orders, ensuring correct packaging and customer allocation.
• Monitor rework and trial stock, keeping finished‑goods shelf life under three months and maintaining an up‑to‑date stock file.
