Planner

About the role

We are looking for a Planner to join the Major Planning Projects (MPP) team and contribute to multi‑modal transport planning initiatives across Queensland. The role involves technical analysis, stakeholder engagement and project coordination to deliver integrated transport solutions that meet community and network objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and support for multi‑modal transport planning projects.
• Assist in managing integrated transport planning studies and significant project elements.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align planning interests and secure support.
• Conduct research and technical analysis to resolve complex planning problems.
• Prepare and deliver reports, briefings, presentations and maintain project documentation, spreadsheets and registers.

Required profile

• Demonstrated knowledge in transport planning disciplines such as infrastructure planning, bus network planning, option development, assessment or transport modelling.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to diverse audiences.
• Experience in undertaking research, critical analysis and delivering timely advice.
• Ability to handle sensitive data and undergo a criminal history check.
