Pharmacist in Charge – Hospital, Oncology & Corrections

About the role

HPS is looking for an experienced Pharmacist in Charge to lead pharmacy operations across a diverse network that includes hospital, oncology and correctional health services. This senior role goes beyond dispensing, offering the chance to shape service delivery, mentor teams and influence patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day pharmacy operations across multiple sites.
• Lead, inspire and develop a high‑performing pharmacy team.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and service quality.
• Build and maintain relationships with hospital executives, clinicians and other key stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance, governance, inventory management and performance reporting.
• Support the expansion of clinical and operational pharmacy services.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist.
• Leadership experience in a hospital or healthcare pharmacy setting.
• Strong operational, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven track record of leading teams and delivering performance outcomes.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Required skills

• Pharmacy regulatory compliance (AHPRA).
