Personal Care Worker - Residential Aged Care Home

About the role

A residential aged care home in Traralgon, Victoria, is expanding after opening a new wing and taking on more residents, up to 112. It is looking for permanent part-time Personal Care Workers to support older Victorians with person-centred care. Shifts are available across AM, PM and night duty.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities according to their needs and choices
• Observe and report any changes in resident condition to the nurse on shift
• Plan and support residents with social and lifestyle activities within the home
• Document information, including charting and progress notes
• Spend time with residents to connect, share stories and show empathy
• Support meal services and provide engaging, inclusive activities and day programs

Required profile

• Completed a Cert III or higher in Individual Support (Ageing) or a related qualification; first-year nursing students who have completed their placements are also eligible
• Experience working in an aged care environment
• Genuine passion for caring and ability to build rapport with clients
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or ability to obtain one

• $35.55 per hour plus superannuation
