Personal Care Worker - Home Care, Gippsland

About the role

A not-for-profit aged care organisation is seeking expressions of interest for Personal Care Workers to join its Community, Health and Care team, supporting older Victorians across the Gippsland region. Workers provide one-on-one support so clients can live comfortably and independently in their own homes, helping them stay connected and feel supported.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities according to their needs and choices
• Work one-on-one with clients in their own homes
• Help with personal care such as showering, bathroom visits and changing clothes
• Support clients to stay connected to their communities through activities they enjoy
• If you do not have an aged care qualification, you can provide domestic assistance such as light cleaning and light cooking or meal preparation

Required profile

• Completed or currently studying a Cert III or higher in Individual Support or a related qualification; first-year nursing students who have finished their placements are also eligible
• Genuine passion for caring and ability to build rapport with clients
• Own vehicle, current driver's licence and comprehensive car insurance, able to drive between clients and clients as required
• Willingness to travel between clients, sometimes up to four per day and up to 30 minutes apart
• Reasonable availability, at least three days per week
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain it)

What we offer

• $34.84 per hour plus superannuation and travel reimbursement
• Paid travel and training time
• Permanent part-time contracts of at least 10 hours per fortnight, with shifts based on client needs and availability
• Salary packaging up to $18,550 per year
• Flexibility to choose days and hours Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
