Permanent Recruitment Consultant – Defence & Engineering

About the role

Join one of Australia’s most established Defence and Engineering recruitment firms as a Senior Recruitment Consultant. You will work alongside experienced recruiters, leveraging existing client relationships and a strong market presence to grow a permanent recruitment desk.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow an established permanent recruitment desk within Defence, Engineering and Technical sectors.
• Build and strengthen relationships with existing clients while identifying new business opportunities.
• Generate revenue through strategic business development and account growth.
• Partner with hiring managers to deliver recruitment solutions across specialist technical disciplines.
• Develop and maintain talent pipelines and trusted adviser relationships with clients and candidates.

Required profile

• 5+ years recruitment experience, preferably in Defence, Engineering, Infrastructure or Technical recruitment.
• Proven success managing and growing a profitable permanent recruitment desk.
• Strong business development mindset with ability to win new clients.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Proactive, self‑driven and highly motivated.
