People Services Administrator

About the role

Cater Care, an Australian-owned contract catering provider, is looking for a People Services Administrator to join its Sydney team in Parramatta. You will support employees, leaders and candidates across the employee lifecycle, working closely with Payroll, Recruitment and the wider People Team. The role is permanent full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, with hybrid working two days from home each week.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the central People Services inbox and HR helpline, supporting employees, leaders and candidates
• Process employee lifecycle administration such as contracts, variations, roster updates and employee data changes
• Keep the HRIS and employee records accurate and up to date
• Maintain high-quality employee information to support payroll accuracy
• Coordinate pre-employment checks, work rights and visa documentation, and follow up clearances and onboarding requirements
• Resolve operational enquiries with Payroll and Recruitment
• Track probation and compliance requirements and suggest process improvements

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in HR administration, People Services, recruitment support or a similar role
• Good understanding of employee lifecycle processes and employment administration
• Qualification or formal studies in HR, Business Administration or equivalent practical experience
• Foundational understanding of industrial awards and employment documentation

Required skills

• Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Forms)
• Data entry and administrative skills with strong attention to detail
• HRIS or recruitment database experience highly regarded
• Strong written and verbal communication and organisation skills
