People & Culture Business Partner – Retail

About the role

Lush is seeking a People & Culture Business Partner to shape the employee experience across its Australian and New Zealand retail network. Reporting to the Head of Retail Operations, you will lead a multidisciplinary team and ensure every staff member feels supported, developed, and inspired throughout their journey.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Retail People & Culture team, fostering high trust, continuous development and psychological safety.
• Design and implement a people‑management strategy aligned with Lush’s ethical values and retail growth objectives.
• Partner with retail leaders to coach and develop their management capabilities, focusing on succession planning and team health.
• Oversee safety, learning & development, communications and HR generalist functions to create a seamless employee lifecycle.
• Drive innovative recruitment, onboarding, and career‑progression initiatives to position Lush as a top employer in retail.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior people manager or HR business partner, preferably in retail.
• Strong leadership and mentorship skills with a track record of building high‑performing teams.
• Strategic mindset capable of mapping and improving the full employee journey.
• Commitment to Lush’s ethical values, diversity, and sustainability principles.
