People & Culture Business Partner

About the role

A large, purpose-driven organisation supporting communities across New South Wales is recruiting a People & Culture Business Partner in Sydney. Reporting to the Manager, People & Culture, the role covers a diverse portfolio across NSW and has a strong employee relations component. It is a true business partnering position with a focus on coaching senior stakeholders and delivering practical solutions to people matters.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with senior stakeholders, providing coaching, guidance and practical solutions on investigations, grievances, performance management, workplace conflict and organisational change.
• Act as a trusted advisor to a geographically dispersed client group, balancing empathy and purpose with sound judgement and accountability.
• Contribute to ongoing people initiatives and transformation projects, helping leaders embed new processes, systems and ways of working after a major investment in HR technology and operating model redesign.

Required profile

• Experienced HR Business Partner who enjoys working closely with leaders to navigate complex people challenges and deliver practical outcomes.
• Strong employee relations capability, able to manage matters independently while balancing risk, accountability and compassion.
• Ability to build credibility with a broad range of stakeholders, influence decision-making and operate in evolving environments.
• Experience in community services, not-for-profit, education or other values-led organisations is highly regarded.
