Senior Recruitment Consultant - Government Search & Selection

About the role

Public Sector People (PSP) is looking for a Senior Recruitment Consultant to join its Government team and become a trusted retained search and selection specialist. The role goes beyond filling vacancies: you meet clients, understand their needs, sell the value of a structured search and selection process and deliver it from briefing through to appointment. You win your own work and take full ownership of its delivery, supported by an established Public Sector brand, an extensive client base and an experienced team.

Required profile

• Proven ability to develop business and win recruitment assignments
• Enjoys being out in the market, meeting clients and building genuine relationships
• Comfortable explaining and presenting the value of a structured search and selection process
• Takes ownership of an assignment from the first client conversation through to appointment
• Drive, urgency and consistent follow-through
• Communicates credibly with senior and executive stakeholders
• Experience recruiting within NSW Government, Local Government or the broader Public Sector is advantageous but not essential
