People and Culture Coordinator

About the role

Duratec, a leading Australian contractor providing design, build, remediation and decommissioning services, is hiring a full-time People and Culture Coordinator for its Wangara office. The role provides generalist HR support for day-to-day HR operations, guiding and enhancing employee relations, with flexible working arrangements and free parking.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and issue employment contracts, employment variations and internal employee correspondence.
• Support onboarding and orientation, including new starter welcome presentations.
• Liaise with project teams and corporate services on new starters, staff movements and terminations.
• Support employee grievance and investigation activity.
• Interpret industrial instruments under the Fair Work Act and NES, and support ER/IR tender responses.
• Deliver HR calendar activities including turnover and retention reporting.
• Contribute to HR process and system improvements and HR projects.
• Liaise with the migration agent on employee visa and sponsorship nominations.
• Support the implementation of Dayforce and other HR initiatives.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management (desirable).
• Experience interpreting awards and/or enterprise agreements.
• Understanding of the Fair Work Act 2009 and other employment legislation.
• Employment contract management experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail, and ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
