About the role

Prolific is seeking experienced payroll professionals to take part in a research initiative with a leading technology company. You will complete a series of realistic payroll tasks that help evaluate AI models on complex payroll decisions across HR, Finance, and Accounting functions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform payroll calculations, compliance checks, benefits administration, tax withholding, and reporting based on real‑world scenarios.
• Provide feedback on the clarity and relevance of task questions.
• Share professional judgment on realistic payroll situations presented in the study.

Required profile

• Current involvement in payroll activities within HR, Finance, or Accounting.
• Payroll responsibilities are part of your current role, regardless of job title.
• Familiarity with payroll processes such as calculations, compliance, benefits, tax withholding, and reporting.

Required skills

• Experience with payroll software.
• Knowledge of HRIS systems or automated payroll workflows.
