Payments Operations Analyst

About the role

As a Payments Operations Analyst you will support the operational integrity and performance of Australia's payments ecosystem. You will work within the Operations & Delivery team to ensure payment systems run smoothly, assist with onboarding new members and provide ongoing support to existing participants.

Key responsibilities

• Support operational performance and availability of AP+ payment systems and services.
• Analyse operational data and produce reporting to drive decision‑making and continuous improvement.
• Assist with onboarding of new members and provide operational assistance to existing participants.
• Investigate, manage and coordinate resolution of operational incidents, problems and application issues.
• Contribute to operational risk management, quality assurance activities and compliance with internal standards.
• Identify trends, root causes and opportunities to improve processes and service performance.
• Maintain operational documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in an Operations Analyst, Payments Operations or similar operational support role (approximately four or more years).
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data, identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Experience supporting live applications, incident management and operational problem resolution.
• Knowledge of payment systems, financial services or technology environments is highly regarded.
• Understanding of operational risk, quality assurance and continuous improvement principles.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across business and technical teams.
• Proactive approach, strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
