Part-Time Pool Ambassador

About the role

A part-time Pool Ambassador is needed at a Darwin resort (Novotel, Mercure or ibis Darwin Airport) as part of the Front Office team. You will make sure the pool is a safe and enjoyable place for guests to relax. The role is open only to candidates with full Australian working rights, as it is not available for sponsorship.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce pool safety rules to keep the area safe and secure
• Set up and arrange pool furniture, umbrellas and other amenities
• Help guests with poolside amenities such as towels and seating
• Keep pool areas clean and tidy and carry out routine inspections
• Greet guests and give information about pool facilities and amenities
• Ensure responsible service of alcohol is followed at all times
• Watch pool activity for safety and help coordinate emergency or police responses with the duty manager when needed

Required profile

• Full Australian working rights (no sponsorship)
• Guest-focused attitude and willingness to provide exceptional service
• Safety-first mindset and confidence to act when necessary

Required skills

• Current First Aid and CPR certification (critical)
• Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
• Life Saving training is ideal but the hotel will organise it if needed
