Part-Time Oral Health Therapist / Dental Hygienist

About the role

An established boutique dental practice is looking for an enthusiastic Oral Health Therapist or Dental Hygienist for a flexible, well-paid part-time position. The practice has a two-chair setup focused on preventative dentistry and offers a close-knit team. The role involves 1-2 weekdays per week, with Saturdays and Sundays free, and an hourly rate of $55-$70.

Key responsibilities

• Perform professional dental cleans, scaling and polishing
• Carry out routine oral health check-ups within your scope of practice
• Provide periodontal maintenance and gum health treatments
• Deliver preventative care and tailored oral hygiene education
• Help patients maintain healthy smiles through ongoing hygiene appointments
• Perform basic restorative procedures where appropriate to your qualifications
• Create a positive patient experience in a welcoming clinical environment

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as an Oral Health Therapist or Dental Hygienist
• Confidence delivering preventative and hygiene-focused treatments
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a welcoming approach to patient care
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
• Genuine commitment to patient satisfaction and oral health outcomes
• Full adult restorative scope is not required for Oral Health Therapist applicants
