Part-Time Oral Health Therapist / Dental Hygienist

About the role

An established boutique dental practice is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Oral Health Therapist or Dental Hygienist to join its team on a flexible part-time basis. Working just 1-2 weekdays per week with no weekend work, the role suits someone who wants to keep a clinical career while having more time for family or other commitments. The practice has two chairs and a close-knit team, and the role is predominantly hygiene-focused.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional dental cleans, scaling and polishing
• Carry out routine oral health assessments within your professional scope
• Deliver periodontal maintenance and preventative treatments
• Educate patients and families on effective oral hygiene practices
• Support patients in keeping their teeth and gums healthy
• Perform basic restorative treatments where appropriate to your qualifications
• Create a friendly, reassuring experience for patients of all ages

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as an Oral Health Therapist or Dental Hygienist
• Confidence in routine hygiene and preventative dental treatments
• A warm, approachable personality and excellent patient communication skills
• Ability to work independently within a small, supportive team
• Strong organisational skills and a commitment to quality patient care
• Full adult restorative scope is not required for Oral Health Therapists

What we offer

• Hourly rate of $55-$70 depending on experience
