Part-Time Duty Manager - Front Office

About the role

Hotel Woolstore 1888, a boutique hotel in Darling Harbour, Sydney, is looking for a passionate and motivated Duty Manager to join its Front Office leadership team on a part-time basis. This hands-on role suits someone who enjoys being visible on the floor, creating exceptional guest experiences and supporting smooth hotel operations. As a key leader on shift, you will oversee Front Office activities, support the team and ensure every guest receives personalised service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Front Office operations and act as the key leader on shift.
• Support, coach and motivate the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Create genuine connections with guests and ensure memorable stays.
• Manage guest feedback and service recovery.
• Support reservation accuracy and help maximise hotel revenue opportunities.
• Coordinate with all hotel departments for seamless daily operations.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.
• Assist with rostering, planning and operational requirements.
• Be hands-on and flexible, supporting the wider hotel team when needed.

Required profile

• 2-4 years' experience in hotel operations, with previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences.
• Confident communication with guests and team members at all levels.
• Calm, adaptable and solution-focused in a fast-paced environment.
• Available to work a part-time rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of hotel PMS systems; Opera Cloud experience highly regarded.
