Outbound Sales Development Representative (SDR)

About the role

Orisent designs and manufactures wireless emergency alert and communication systems for construction, mining, and industrial sectors across Australia. The newly created Outbound Sales Development Representative sits between Sales and Marketing, turning commercial opportunities into closed business through disciplined, phone‑based outreach.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct structured phone follow‑up on received and quoted opportunities, ensuring each has a defined next action and follow‑up date.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records of all customer interactions, opportunity status, and activities in the CRM.
• Identify and secure qualified appointments for the Sales team with existing customers for new projects, sites, or business units.
• Research prospects, assess marketing‑generated leads, and convert engagement into qualified sales conversations.
• Escalate stalled opportunities and proactively seek expansion within the existing customer base.

Required profile

• Proven ability to consistently progress opportunities through a sales pipeline.
• Disciplined follow‑up and strong organizational skills.
• Experience creating qualified sales opportunities through outbound phone activity.
• Comfort with researching companies, projects, and decision‑makers.
• Commitment to accurate CRM data entry and contributing to business growth.
