Oral Health Therapist (Casual)

About the role

An expanding dental practice is looking for a motivated Oral Health Therapist (OHT) to join its team on a casual basis, with 2 to 5 working days available per week. The practice plans to grow from two to four dental chairs and offers a supportive, collaborative environment where practitioners can work clinically independently. General dentists are also encouraged to apply, with pay reflecting their experience.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive oral examinations and routine dental check-ups
• Perform professional cleans, scaling and preventive dental treatments
• Provide tailored oral hygiene education and preventive care plans
• Build ongoing patient relationships and support long-term oral health outcomes
• Manage appointments and clinical responsibilities independently
• Collaborate with experienced dental professionals to maintain high standards of care

Required profile

• Recognised qualification in Oral Health Therapy
• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
• Confidence performing examinations, cleans and preventive treatments independently
• Availability for 2 to 5 days per week, including weekend opportunities; ability to start promptly
