Operations Coordinator (Scheduler)

About the role

The client is looking for a highly organised Operations Coordinator who will act as the central hub between customers, office staff and field technicians. Working Australian hours, you will ensure the right technician is assigned to the right job at the right time, with all necessary information to complete the work efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimise daily and forward schedules for field technicians, allocating jobs based on skills, location, availability and urgency.
• Re‑organise schedules quickly when jobs overrun, technicians become unavailable or urgent work arises.
• Communicate professionally with clients, property managers, tenants and suppliers, providing timely updates on appointments and changes.
• Review job details, photographs and client requests to assign the appropriate trade (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, etc.).
• Maintain accurate job records, notes, access details and appointment information across scheduling, CRM and email platforms.
• Monitor incoming emails and new job requests throughout the day and act on them promptly.

Required profile

• Previous experience in scheduling, dispatch or operations coordination.
• Strong logistical thinking and practical knowledge of residential maintenance and trade services.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple systems, stakeholders and changing priorities.
