Purchasing Officer

About the role

The Novated Purchasing Officer is responsible for the purchase of motor vehicles and accessories ordered by SG Fleet’s clients. This role delivers 100% compliance against all SG Fleet purchasing KPI and SLA targets and ensures efficient, professional management of suppliers, dealers, team members and general SG Fleet requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Professionally handle all dealings with suppliers, clients and internal stakeholders.
• Apply customer service best practices to support a customer‑centric culture and drive satisfaction.
• Place vehicle and accessory orders with suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery for each new lease.
• Manage and process supplier confirmations.
• Communicate with stakeholders on vehicle availability and expected delivery.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date information on each vehicle order.
• Manage the vehicle purchasing process in line with SG Fleet purchasing policies.
• Monitor internal reports on outstanding deliveries.
• Effectively manage the Dealer Portal.
• Continuously review, assess and follow up overdue or outstanding orders.

Required profile

• Experience in a customer service and/or administrative role.
• Experience engaging, coordinating and negotiating with internal/external suppliers and customers.
• Professional and courteous customer service skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication with strong listening and probing abilities.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, meeting deadlines and reporting progress.
• Ability to work to deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
