Material Requirements Planner

About the role

We are looking for a highly organised and analytical Material Requirements Planner to support production across Australia & New Zealand. Based in Adelaide CBD, you will manage MRP outputs, raise purchase orders and work closely with suppliers to ensure on‑time, in‑full delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Review and manage MRP system outputs to align material planning with production schedules, inventory targets and procurement parameters.
• Monitor open orders and production requirements, proactively engaging suppliers and internal stakeholders to mitigate risks, address shortages or delays and ensure continuity of supply.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, analyse consumption trends and optimise safety stock, reorder points and batch sizes while preventing stock‑outs or excess inventory.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, coordinate stock transfers and drive data integrity through root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support supplier performance reviews and manage credits, returns and discrepancies in collaboration with Procurement, Logistics and Warehouse teams.

Required profile

• Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret data.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Solid understanding of ERP/MRP systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight timelines.
• Problem‑solving mindset with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
• At least three years of experience in a planning or purchasing role within an FMCG environment.
