Occupational Therapist – Aged Care (Full‑time)

About the role

HammondCare is seeking an experienced full‑time Occupational Therapist to support aged‑care residents in dementia‑specific residential homes across the Hunter region. The role involves working on‑site at Waratah, Cardiff and Scone, with travel compensation provided.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective and timely occupational therapy to residents, supporting their representatives and the care team.
• Collaborate with residents, families, staff and the Allied Health team to assess needs, set goals and deliver interventions.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and continuous professional development.
• Deliver resident‑centred, evidence‑based care that promotes healthy ageing and reduces excess disability.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration.
• Practical experience or strong knowledge in dementia and aged‑care settings (highly regarded).
• Current driver’s licence, safe driving record and access to a car for travel between sites.
• Effective communication, organisational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
