Specialised Residential Carer (Casual / Part‑time)

About the role

Join HammondCare Waratah as a Specialised Carer providing personalised support to residents in a residential aged‑care setting. You will help create a safe, comfortable home‑like environment for elderly people, including those living with dementia.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personal care such as showering, grooming and toileting.
• Facilitate life‑engagement activities and support daily living.
• Assist residents with varying levels of dementia, recognising and reporting changes in condition.
• Work alongside registered nurses and managers, completing orientation and buddy shifts.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for serving elderly people and making a difference.
• Minimum six months experience in an aged‑care facility (highly desirable).
• Availability for large weekly hours across morning, afternoon or night rosters.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of dementia care and related needs.
• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care is advantageous.
