National Training Manager

About the role

As National Training Manager ANZ for The Athlete’s Foot, you will lead the strategy that builds capability, confidence and product expertise of store teams across Australia and New Zealand. Based in Alexandria, Sydney, you will manage State Training Managers and partner with store and area leaders to deliver impactful learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the national training strategy and annual calendar aligned to business priorities.
• Lead, coach and develop State Training Managers across Australia and New Zealand.
• Identify capability gaps and design practical learning programs.
• Own and evolve the TAF accreditation pathway from Fit Technician to Master Fit.
• Lead national training programs, seminars and events such as Fit Uni and Future Leaders.
• Partner with Area and Store Managers to create targeted coaching plans.
• Manage the Learning Management System, monitoring completion, compliance and effectiveness.
• Measure training impact through KPIs including sales performance and mystery shop results.
• Travel regularly across Australia and New Zealand to deliver training and support stores.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a national or multi‑site learning and development function.
• Strong retail or sales background, preferably in a multi‑site environment.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging learning programs for frontline teams and leaders.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across a complex, cross‑functional environment.
• Commercial mindset with understanding of how capability development drives business performance.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Australia and New Zealand.

Required skills

• Experience using LMS platforms to monitor completion, compliance and program effectiveness.
