Employeur non precise · Macquarie Park
Job description
About the role
A rapidly growing automotive OEM is seeking an accomplished National Fleet Manager to lead, develop and significantly expand its Australian fleet business. This is a senior, highly influential position based in Macquarie Park, with responsibility for developing the national fleet strategy, driving volume and profitability, building dealer capability and establishing a high-performing fleet operation across Australia. The role takes ownership of a national fleet operation during a period of growth, rather than inheriting an established program.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and secure major opportunities across corporate, government, rental, leasing, SME and commercial fleet channels, taking key accounts from initial engagement through tender, negotiation and contract execution.
- Build and manage a strong national sales pipeline and lead major tenders and RFP submissions.
- Develop competitive fleet programs and work closely with dealers to strengthen local fleet capability.
- Contribute to pricing, incentives, stock planning, product strategy and national fleet policies.
- Build strong relationships with FMOs, leasing companies, rental operators, government procurement and corporate fleet customers.
- Work with Product, Marketing, Aftersales, Finance and the dealer network to develop fleet propositions and deliver a high standard of customer experience.
Required profile
- At least five years of automotive fleet sales management experience; previous OEM experience is essential.
- Demonstrated record of achieving fleet volume and profitability targets, developing major accounts and managing complex tenders and commercial negotiations.
- Strong network in the Australian corporate, government, leasing, rental and fleet management sectors, and detailed knowledge of dealer fleet operations, pricing structures, incentive programs and national account management.
- Full Australian working rights; visa sponsorship is not available and applicants must be Australian or New Zealand citizens or hold a permanent residency visa.
Required skills
- Commercial judgement and leadership capability.
- Ability to interpret sales data, financial information and market trends.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to influence internal stakeholders and dealer partners.
- Frequent national travel is required.
The position is advertised by Motor Staff, an automotive industry recruiter. Applicants must be physically located in Australia and their resume must include their address so commuting requirements can be assessed.
