National Account Manager – Retail Accounts

About the role

A fast-growing Australian business with an expanding presence across retail, e-commerce and wholesale distribution is looking for an experienced National Account Manager based in Sydney or Melbourne. You will build strategic relationships with major national retailers, secure new product listings and work closely with executive leadership to shape commercial expansion. The package is $140k-$160k plus superannuation, car allowance and bonus.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage strategic relationships with major national pharmacy and retail groups
• Negotiate product listings, ranging agreements, purchasing commitments and trading terms
• Identify opportunities to expand distribution across pharmacy, beauty and major retail channels
• Present product portfolios and commercial proposals to senior retail buyers and category decision-makers
• Manage account performance, including revenue, forecasting, margins and profitability
• Monitor product performance, purchasing volumes and stock replenishment cycles
• Collaborate with internal purchasing, marketing and finance teams

Required profile

• Proven National Account Management experience in FMCG, pharmacy, beauty, personal care or consumer products
• Established relationships with head-office buyers, procurement teams and category decision-makers
• Demonstrated success securing new product listings, ranging agreements and purchasing commitments
• Strong commercial negotiation skills and proven ability to deliver measurable revenue growth
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills; able to work independently
